What do I wear?!

I always recommend wearing light neutral colors such as white, cream, oatmeal, brown, tan or light grey; reason being is because they photograph beautifully, are timeless and put the focus on the people, not the clothing.

I always recommend mixing, matching, adding layers and textures. For example - subtle patterns, buttons, sweaters or vests. For a family session it's great when they wear a mixture of dresses, shorts and pants. It adds interest to your photos.

After booking I will send you a link to a pinterest board for outfit inspiration!

Kind Words!

Hailee Gallagher

Heather is simply the BEST! She was the sweetest and really made our experience fun. We were a little nervous about how our pictures would turn out with the weather and it snowing on the day we had our pictures, but ultimately, they turned out better than we could have imagined! We are absolutely in love, and can’t thank Heather enough! She is beyond talented! And we will definitely be coming back for pictures in the future!

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

I deliver 40+ fully edited photos (depending on the session) in color and throw in some B&W of the best images. I'm known for sending extra photos :)

How should we dress for our family session?

It depends on the look you are going for!
-If you are wanting light and airy photos, wear neutrals such as white, cream, oatmeal, or light grey. These colors photograph the most beautiful!
- If you are wanting fun bold photos, wear color!
- I recommend wearing different textures and layers, it adds so much interest to your photos!

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

I always recommend doing newborn photos at least 5 days after your baby is born. Your baby will still be really sleepy and the swelling for both mom and babe will have time to calm down. Your baby will still look tiny and brand new, but waiting a few days also gives you that precious time to bond uninterrupted.

What are some tips for photos with kids?

-Bring kids fed and rested.
-Be mindful of the weather. Make sure you have jackets and blankets, keep those kiddos warm!
-Do not discipline before or during photos.
- Come prepared with positive reinforcement. ex: tell your kids that they are doing amazing and this is so fun and after we're done we are going for ice cream or a little toy!
-Don't be stressed, you kids pick right up on that and act out, have fun so they will have fun! I've got you!

How long until I receive my photos?

I know how exciting it is to finally get your photos back! I do my best to ensure a quick turnaround time and generally have a one to two-week processing time. I will send you an online gallery to your email as soon as they're ready.

What kind of photos do you offer?
